 What do you think was hawthorne's purpose was for writing this story? 
      You should not follow a person who doesnt show you good 

Hawthone's states that brown is "aptly named" faith after reading the story, do you agree ? Does faiths name fit her personality? Does brown have true faith in her? 
        Faith's name does not fit her personality because she was not faithful and honest to brown 
What do you think the pink ribbons signify ? 
         The pink ribbons signify happiness
Was everything brown witnessed real, a figurment of his imagination, something conjured by evil or a dream ? 
          I think what goodman brown witnessed was a dream because he had woken up from it at his house as said " It was a good dream of evil" 
Who do you think. he old man really is ? What texual clues tell you this? 
        In my opinion i think the old man is really the devil because it says "with instinct that guides mortal man to evil".
